Invasives Canada

OVERVIEW
Canadian Council of Invasive Species (now Invasives Canada), works to safeguard our nation, provinces and local communities from invasive species through research, education, and action. Their legacy website, however, was holding them back by being difficult to update, hard to navigate and out of step with their evolving brand.

With a rebrand underway, they engaged us to create a new digital presence, one that would reflect their leadership in the space while making it easier for Canadians to find resources, join programs and take action against invasive species.
SOLUTION
We rebuilt the website from the ground up, creating a clear, accessible and future-ready digital experience. Starting with the user, we reorganized the site around user intent, ensuring the most sought-after information is intuitive to find and optimized for search. Our creative team developed flexible page templates and modules aligned to the content hierarchy and user journey, allowing the site to grow seamlessly with the organization. Built on WordPress, the new site is accessible, built to WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, mobile-optimized and securely hosted, empowering staff to update content easily and keep the platform dynamic.

"Our organization worked with My Brother Darryl to develop four separate websites, each with its own distinct look and content. The MBD team was professional, friendly, and easy to work with throughout the process. Their strong attention to detail, high quality work, and quick responses made what could have been an intimidating project much more manageable and efficient for our staff.

Their design process and structured meetings helped answer both their questions and ours, creating clear direction early on and keeping the project organized and running smoothly. The team consistently offered thoughtful solutions that supported our goals, and they were flexible and adaptable when our project direction shifted, which made a real difference. I was also impressed by their commitment to training our staff, helping us build confidence in using the website features and managing the sites going forward."
